WHEN LIFE THROWS YOU A CURVE BALL...

I can only write when I am inspired, and I cannot stress that enough. Most bloggers blog on a schedule, there are things that I am not and committed to time constraints are one of them. I guess that is what adds character to Words for a Healthy Spirit-this blog is all genuine.

Inspiration comes in many forms. Recently, life threw me a series of curve balls. Some people may view the saying as a negative. Since facing and overcoming the greatest hurdle that I was forced to deal with for many years, I have learned eventually hurdles show signs of ending, even when you think there are never ending. The true lesson in hurdles and curve balls lies in how you catch or get passed them, and what you do with them once you are forced to deal with them. If you narrow down your options, like removing panic from your thought process, curve balls look different. Simply put, look for the potential good that can come out of it, or how good it will feel to get passed it. Take a few deep breaths and poof they are gone. May not seem so simple when you are going through it, but whatever you survive makes you blah blah blah, you know that old adage too.

Most importantly, find yourself a support system. When I say support, I mean at least one person that you can open up your personal floodgates to. Here is a tip, sometimes people you barely know can be more supportive than that childhood best friend. An impartial ear, can be the catchers mitt you have been waiting for. For those of you who do not have a support system, it is time to find one. The only thing standing in your way is you, so move over.

Cheers to Happiness,

  1. Hey Tish...

I believe that we must support each other, and your title caught my eye. I smiled when you said that you cannot write on schedule. Girl neither can I. I just make sure that I am committed to at least 2 or three times a week. In fact I can be such a hermit that I created my blog for the purpose of support for me and for others that go through similar things. I have been in my own way for far too long and am trying now to get out of my way. Apparently I have an inability to deal with stressful things...so I am just backing up and trying to learn somethings from scratch. Still working on dealing with the curve balls...Great post sis.
